TIMECLOCK, registers the Time-In and Time-Out by user ID,
either manually, or automatically based on login/logout times.
An optional comment field is available for any explanation
provided for an individual punch.
Example: Picked up office supplies before work.
The time ticket report, prints time tickets showing punch times. You may access this program on the admin menu.
From the main menu, you can select the Time clock by clicking on the clock icon. The time clock is also on the double click menu.
The program is most efficient when used in conjunction with the login process. You may manually punch or you may optionally select to automatically punch the clock by checking the automatic time clock check-box located on the bottom of the login screen.
Each person using the Time clock program must have a unique user ID of one to four alpha characters. Most people will be able to use their initials.
In order to report times accurately, the time clock uses an internal atomic powered clock which is synchronized via Hughes satellite, ( just kidding ) be sure to check that the time and date are correctly displayed on your individual workstation, since these are the default times used for the time clock when punching in and out.
USER ID: Type in your user ID Code and press <Enter>.
You may search users by clicking the search icon.

punching in and punching out. Times will display in military
time. Please see example table below.

COMMENT: You may enter comments about the hours you
have worked using up to 25 characters.
EDITING: If you need to edit any of your entries, and you
have not yet saved the information, you may do so
by using the <Up>/<Down> arrow keys.
If you have punched out and saved your entry,
re-run TIMECLOCK. Enter your user ID, enter the
same date of entry to be corrected, and enter the same
Time-In you used on that day. The system will
display the entry, allowing you to make corrections.
EXIT: When you click the exit button, the data on the screen is stored and the program exits.
EXIT WITHOUT PUCHING: To exit the time clock w/o punching, click the
EXIT button. The system will exit the Timeclock screen and return you to the Menu without saving any information.
FORGETTING TO PUNCH: Missing punch outs will display the message 00:00 in the Hours column. Until you run TIMECLOCK and punch out, these hours will not be credited to your total. To punch out from a previous day, change the date to the day in question. Use the mouse to change the clock display by dragging the minute hand until the proper punch out time is display. Then click the punch out button.
Punch-out times cannot be earlier than punch-in times. You cannot enter punch-in or punch-out times that fall between existing hours entered for that day.
Example: Time-In 0900 (9:00 am) Time-Out 1400 (2:00 pm), then you try to enter Time-In 1000 (10:00 am). Since you were already
in at that time.
This message will also be displayed if a duplicate
punch in ( or out ) is detected.
YOU ALREADY HAVE PUNCHED IN(OUT)
This section only applies to those working the midnight shift.
Since times are display using military time, midnight should be
2400, however the time clock program uses 0000.
Shift crossing dates (midnight)
Example: You work 8 hours starting at 10:00 p.m.
on May 1. You would punch out at 6:00 a.m
on May 2. Your time entry would look like
this.
Date In Out
